2 ounces bourbon
1 teaspoon simple syrup
2–3 dashes Angostura bitters
Combine bourbon, simple syrup, and Angostura bitters in a glass or shaker.
Fill about halfway with ice, and stir very well with spoon.
Strain into glass over ice.
Squeeze orange peel over glass to express citrus oils, then rim the glass with the orange peel.
Drop a cherry in.
