Ingredients

2 ounces bourbon
1 lemon
2–3 dashes Angostura bitters
1–2 tablespoons honey (to taste)
0.5 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon whole cloves (optional)
1 cinnamon stick
1 star anise (optional)
Instructions
bring water to a boil
slice a thick lemon wheel
push cloves into edge of lemon wheel
juice the rest of the lemon into a mug
add bourbon, honey, and bitters
add lemon wheel, star anise, and cinnamon stick
top with boiling water
